A Pure Heart Flows
A Pure Heart Flows
Try putting light in a box
It will shine through the cracks
The rock creates a block
But the water must flow
Path of least resistance
It will find another path
A gentle touch remains
As the rock craved water’s embrace
Yet only a reminder remains of the loss.
A pure heart flows
Clipping its wings
the butterfly will crumble
Yet now it knows how to escape
And keep flying
A pure heart flows.
When the water flows,
I choose the wide-open Valley,
Not the Rocky crevice
She needs to spread her wings and fly.
She has no need to chip away at another.
But to flow
With ease and harmony.
She shines her light.
Take it as you wish.
But she will not stop.
A pure heart flows.
She will not die and wither away.
She will just flow away
A pure heart flows.
